Ways to Prevent Yeast Infections

Yeast infections thrive in damp dark areas so one of the best ways to avoid getting them often is to allow yourself to be well ventilated. One of the best ways to do this is to sleep naked. If you are uncomfortable with doing this then just make sure to take of your underwear.

You should avoid wearing clothes that are too tight or constrict air flow. This includes materials such as; plastic, polyester, and leather fabrics. You should also avoid too many layers. If you must wear layers remove them upon arriving home.

Lastly you should avoid using powders after showers and baths. Starch is a great way to make bacteria grow. Since most powders contain starch, using them can encourage yeast infections.
