There have been studies that show that washing your panties after a yeast infection may not kill the infection. In order to prevent a reoccurring infection there are a few natural tips you can follow.
- Pre-wash the crotch of your panties before washing them. Use a non scented detergent but avoid fabric softeners as they can irritate your skin.
- Boil your panties or soak them in bleach before wearing them. Make sure to wash them with an unscented soap prior to wearing them.
- Iron your panties prior to wearing them. This will kill any leftover bacteria.
