How to Treat Yeast Infections with Yogurt

Using yogurt is probably the most popular treatment of women using natural home cures. The reason for this is probably contributed to the fact that it is an easy treatment with effective results. To treat your yeast infection with yogurt you will need an unflavored, unsweetened, plain yogurt.

From there, there are a few methods for applying the treatment. Many women simply rub the yogurt on the infected area; however, in order to treat the infection from the inside you will need to find a way to coat the vaginal walls.

In order to treat the infection from the inside you can find a syringe from your local pharmacy that has a wide enough mouth to allow you to place the yogurt inside your vagina. You then fill the syringe and squirt it into the infected area.
One of the easiest ways to use yogurt to treat a yeast infection is to soak a tampon in yogurt for a few seconds. Then you insert the tampon into the vagina.

Another method that has become widely used is using a empty tampon applicator. This method has you fill the applicator with yogurt and then freeze it. After it is frozen you insert it. This can be cold girls, but many find that it is also soothing compared to the itching and soreness from the yeast infection. This method can also be used with disposable gloves. You simply fill the gloves and then use each finger as an application.

There are many ways to use yogurt as a form of treatment for yeast infections. The way you use it is entirely up to you; however, you should use the yogurt treatments for a minimum of 5-7 days for effective treatment.
