How to Treat Yeast Infections with Garlic

Garlic is a great way to treat your yeast infection, it is especially helpful in alleviating the itching. In order to treat the infection with garlic you will need a garlic glove, gauze, un-waxed floss, and a lubricant.

To prepare the treatment begin by peeling the garlic clove. Next wrap the clove in gauze and tie each end with the floss.

Finally lightly coat the gauze with a small amount of lubricant. The lubricant is used to make it easier to insert the gauze. It is important to make sure that you don't over lubricate, as this will make it harder for the garlic to penetrate it, making the treatment less effective.

You finish by simply inserting the treatment into your vagina. You can also put the garlic clove in alone; however, without the floss to pull out the treatment you are taking the risk of losing it in your vaginal canal.

If you have a more serious or reoccurring yeast infection you can combine the garlic treatment with yogurt by replacing the lubricant with the yogurt. This will make a stronger treatment for your yeast infection.
